Most sailors love the ease of handling of furling headsails – so nice when they are working smoothly! But no-one wants to deal with a malfunctioning furler at sea – battling on the foredeck with a sail stuck unfurled in high winds is no fun. Neither is sailing at a snail’s pace in light air with too little sail area because the genoa won’t unroll.

Click here to read in Ocean Navigator Magazine about how customers Barbara and Michael coped with their furler failure at sea as they departed NZ waters in May 2016. We helped them with a quick-turnaround replacement once they made it into port.
